Total has made a discovery of 209 feet of net pay lean gas in the Central North Sea. The HPHT field will prove a technical challenge to develop in the current climate, but technical reserve results are still encouraging.
Pacific Sharav was just contracted for two wells in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to run from November to February 2021 with a dayrate of $230,000.
Discovery well KL6-1-3 was drilled by CNOOC in Bohai Bay and found an oil pay with a thickness of 20 meters.
BP Angola awarded a contract to TechnipFMC under which they will manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment to develop Platina.
Logan Industries will provide drilling contractor Diamond Offshore condition-based monitoring (CBM) services for wireline tensioners under a new 10-year deal.
An Allseas drillship will be repurposed to harvest deep-sea metals needed to unlock the full potential of electric-powered vehicles and other ‘green’ technologies.
