OneStep Power was well-represented at DP Asia last week, where we discussed the need for comprehensive power system validation testing solutions, including options such as OneStep Power's Generator Voltage Response Tester (GVRT) for voltage dip ride through testing without short-circuit.
The paper, entitled "Comprehensive Power System Testing for Dynamically Positioned Vessels" highlighted the need for solutions across both the control and fault discrimination aspects of DP power systems. The paper described the use of existing technologies such as secondary injection and primary injection testing and GVRT testing to provide confidence for the reliable operation of DP power systems.
The event was well attended with a number of representatives from leading vessel owners, oil companies, DP FMEA practitioners and equipment manufacturers.
